[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Yoseop] The ‘Busan City Commercial Lease Consultation Center’ will begin full-scale operation from the 10th, following a pilot operation last year.
According to Busan City on the 7th, the Commercial Lease Consultation Center, located on the 4th floor of the Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation building next to Busan City Hall, was established to provide free legal consultations on commercial building lease issues to small business owners facing social and economic difficulties. In the first half of the year, it will operate twice a week, and depending on consultation demand, the number of operating days will be expanded in the second half of the year.
Consultations can be requested online 24 hours a day, and consultations with professional counselors are held every Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The counselors consist of experts such as lawyers, judicial scriveners, appraisers, licensed real estate agents, certified public accountants, tax accountants, and professors in related fields. The consultation areas include ▲lease contract-related issues ▲excessive increases in rent deposits ▲burdens such as defect repairs and restoration, among other matters.
Depending on the consultation content, the center will also operate the Commercial Lease Dispute Mediation Committee to actively resolve disputes between tenants and landlords and play a role in resolving conflicts.
