View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) is establishing a Convergence Talent Education Center (Yeonhui Lifelong Learning Center) to create a sustainable lifelong education foundation in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
The district plans to open the center in May this year, located within the Seodaemun-gu Council Complex Building (49 Yeonhui-ro 36-gil) with an area of 585㎡.
On the first floor of the building, there will be a comprehensive experience room, VR/AR experience room, 3D making room, digital drawing room, drone coding classroom, IoT classroom, and AI robot classroom. The basement floor will house a media production classroom and a drone flight and autonomous driving space.
The center will offer one-day experience courses, semester courses, teacher training, resident instructor training, and citizen education programs.
Educational topics include coding, robotics, Arduino, drones, webtoons, content creators, app development, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and the Internet of Things.
In particular, the district plans to operate programs linked with nine local universities' departments, clubs, and research institutes related to the '4th Industrial Revolution' to support free semester systems, advanced curriculum, and career experience.
Moon Seok-jin, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, stated, "In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, we will actively invest in lifelong learning infrastructure and content related to convergence-based future competencies so that residents can prepare for changes in science, technology, and job structures."
