Seongbuk-gu '2020 Community Garden Creation' Resident Proposal Project Contest
Support for Greening Projects in Communities of 5 or More Residents in Seoul... Comprising Two Areas: Greening Material Support and Subsidy Support
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) is conducting a public contest for the '2020 Community Garden Creation Resident Proposal Project' supported by Seoul City until the 21st.
This contest project is part of the 'Seoul, Blooming with Flowers' campaign, supporting communities of five or more people with greening materials or subsidies to establish a culture where residents themselves plant and care for flowers and trees in their daily lives.
The contest fields are divided into two categories: the greening materials support field, which provides flowers, trees, fertilizers, etc. to communities, and the subsidy support field, which provides support for material costs and project operation expenses.
The support scale is up to 2 million KRW per location for the greening materials support field, and between 5 million and 20 million KRW per location for the subsidy support field. To participate in the subsidy support field, applicants must secure at least 10% of the requested subsidy as self-funding.
Applicants must be communities of five or more residents living in Seoul, and people whose living area (workplace, school, etc.) is in Seoul can also apply if they create a community garden within the Seoul area. Only one application per category is allowed; duplicate applications are not permitted.
Applicants can download the form from the Seongbuk-gu website, fill it out, and submit it by visiting the Seongbuk-gu Office Park and Greenery Division in person or by mail (Seongbuk-gu, Bomun-ro 168, 9th floor, Park and Greenery Division). However, mailed applications will only be accepted if they arrive by the deadline of February 21.
The selection results will be announced on March 10 on the Seoul City internet homepage after comprehensively reviewing the application documents based on landscape quality, sustainability, public nature, and community characteristics.
