According to the Health and Wellness Committee of Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, on the 4th, the novel coronavirus patient Mr. Hou (69) entered Sichuan Province by train from Hankou, Wuhan City on the 18th of last month.
Mr. Hou visited a hospital on the 27th of last month due to symptoms such as cough, sputum, and shortness of breath, and was confirmed positive on the 31st.
Additionally, Mr. Hou was investigated to have engaged in several outdoor activities while concealing the fact that he had been to Hankou, coming into close contact with about 100 people.
In particular, he reportedly denied multiple times when hospital medical staff asked if he had visited Wuhan or Hubei Province. During this process, it was confirmed that Mr. Hou had close contact with about 30 medical personnel.
Accordingly, Ya'an City is said to plan to investigate Mr. Hou and impose severe punishment according to the law.
Meanwhile, the Heilongjiang Provincial High People's Court in China issued an "Urgent Notice on Strict Crackdown on Criminal Offenses Related to Epidemics."
