First Human-to-Human Transmission of Novel Coronavirus Reported in the US

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced on the 30th (local time) that a confirmed case of novel coronavirus was identified in Chicago, Illinois, and the cause was human-to-human transmission. This is the sixth confirmed case of novel coronavirus in the United States.
The patient was revealed to be the husband of a woman who was confirmed positive after visiting Wuhan, China. It is presumed that he was infected by his wife in the United States.
A U.S. health official stated that the patient is a man in his 60s and is currently in stable condition. The official explained, "The wife's condition has improved significantly but she is still in isolation."
