Kim Han-pyo, Senior Deputy Floor Leader of the Liberty Korea Party, told reporters on the morning of the 30th at the National Assembly after a meeting with Yoon Hu-duk, Senior Deputy Floor Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, which also served as a courtesy call, "We agreed to hold a special session of the National Assembly in February," adding, "The timing and schedule of the special session will be discussed again."
Senior Deputy Floor Leader Yoon said, "We fully respected the opposition party's opinion," and added, "The ruling party will prepare for the February special session by proposing amendments." At the policy coordination meeting held at the National Assembly the previous day, Senior Deputy Floor Leader Yoon stated, "I will consult with the opposition party to ensure that the National Assembly actively responds to the novel coronavirus," and "We will closely cooperate to timely handle livelihood bills, electoral district delimitation, and related election law amendments."

Meanwhile, the amendment to the Quarantine Act has passed the Health and Welfare Committee, the relevant standing committee of the National Assembly, but is currently pending in the Legislation and Judiciary Committee.
