Gyeonggi-do Develops 'Educational Content' Reflecting Local Culture, History, and Society
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province has developed educational content titled 'Curious about Gyeonggi Province?' for children and has launched it as an online service.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 30th that it started the service on the 29th by linking 'Curious about Gyeonggi Province?', created by reflecting the structure of the localized textbook 'Life in Gyeonggi Province,' one of the elementary school social studies textbooks, with the digital materials of Gyeonggi Memory (Memory.library.kr).
Through this, students can study the actual local aspects such as the history, culture, and lifestyle of Gyeonggi Province. Gyeonggi Memory provides over 1,300 record information items to support students' learning.
The content is organized not only by the 'Life in Gyeonggi Province' learning unit menu for use in curriculum studies but also by the 31 cities and counties within the province, by topic, and by reference institutions.
It is conveniently accessible on various mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs. The content is available through the online exhibition on the Gyeonggi Memory homepage.
