The novel coronavirus originated in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, and enters the body through the eyes, nose, mouth, and mucous membranes. After an incubation period of 2 to 14 days, it causes respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, pneumonia, and difficulty breathing, making prevention essential.
Accordingly, the maritime police plan to strengthen infection prevention and containment measures targeting domestic fishing vessels, Chinese food import companies, foreign crew members, and areas densely populated by foreigners.
Additionally, direct contact between Chinese fishing vessel hulls and crew members will be minimized, and quarantine prevention guidelines will be strictly followed.
