KCC Donates 1.15 Billion KRW to Sarangui Yeolmae Charity Fund

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] KCC announced on the 29th that it donated 1.15 billion KRW to the Community Chest of Korea, also known as Sarangui Yeolmae, to support love for neighbors.
The donation ceremony was held the previous day at the Sarangui Yeolmae Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul. Attendees included Shim Jaeguk, Executive Director of KCC, and Kim Yeonsun, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea.
The donated funds will be designated and entrusted to local governments where KCC business sites are located, and will be used to practice sharing hope through welfare support for vulnerable groups. In particular, the funds will be used to support living expenses and medical costs for low-income families and neighbors facing economic difficulties.

A KCC official said, "We hope that this donation will give neighbors at least some hope and courage," adding, "We plan to continue making various efforts for the greater happiness of neighbors in need and to focus on spreading a culture of sharing beyond simple social contribution activities."
