According to the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education on the 24th, the event was prepared to boost consumer sentiment ahead of Seol, the nation's biggest holiday, and to revitalize the local traditional market that has been stagnant.
Superintendent Jang and the Office of Education staff purchased ritual items, ingredients, and daily necessities for the Seol ancestral rites table using Onnuri gift certificates and encouraged the merchants.
Meanwhile, the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education sets a "Traditional Market Day" before the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays every year to support traditional markets and boost merchants' morale by promoting shopping events by each department.
