'Gyeonggi Regional Economic Portal' to Open on the 21st
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will open the 'Gyeonggi Regional Economy Portal (ggdata.kr)' on the 21st, allowing free access to and utilization of data obtained from regional economic activities.
Gyeonggi Province has been developing the Gyeonggi Regional Economy Portal over the past five months in collaboration with 12 specialized institutions as part of the government's national big data platform and center construction project.
The Gyeonggi Regional Economy Portal contains data in various fields such as production, consumption, and employment within the province. The province provides some of the data on the portal for free. However, premium data is offered for a reasonable fee. For more details, please refer to the Gyeonggi Regional Economy Portal website.

Lim Moon-young, Director of Future Growth Policy at the province, stated, "The Gyeonggi Regional Economy Portal is the only comprehensive site among local governments where regional economic data can be viewed, traded, and utilized," adding, "We expect it to play a significant role in creating a data ecosystem and activating data that residents can directly experience."
