Cadillac to Launch Five New Models Including XT6 and CT5 in South Korea This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Cadillac is launching five new models in the domestic market this year and is set to aggressively target the market. Introducing five new models in a single year is a first since Cadillac's domestic launch.
The new lineup includes four newly developed models: the full-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) XT6, the stylish SUV XT4, the mid-size sedan CT5, and the performance sedan CT4, along with a facelifted version of the luxury SUV XT5. First, in the first half of the year, Cadillac will release the 'XT6,' developed with the core value of providing the best driving experience in every space. The XT6 features a powerful powertrain and the latest convenience and safety technologies. In particular, it maximizes usability with seating and cargo space extending to the third row.
Additionally, the facelifted model of the 'XT5,' which has established itself as Cadillac's best-selling model, will also be unveiled in the first half of the year. This facelift adds numerous latest technologies to significantly enhance safety and convenience.
The sedan lineup will also be strengthened. Targeting the 20s and 30s generation, the performance sedan CT4 and the luxury sedan CT5, which combines powerful performance with the advantages of an urban sedan, will be unveiled in the first half of the year. The CT4 and CT5 are equipped with the second-generation Alpha Architecture platform, which improves information processing speed, connectivity, and mobility functions. Notably, the CT5 features a 10-speed automatic transmission, enabling smooth yet agile movement.
In the second half of the year, the compact SUV 'XT4' will be newly introduced. The XT4 is characterized by a dynamic yet sophisticated exterior design and an evolved user-centric interior design. The spacious interior, larger than competitors in its class, focuses on connectivity with mobile devices frequently used by young customers, incorporating numerous advanced features.
Cadillac plans to strengthen its positioning strategy as a 'young and dynamic brand' based on the launch of four new models and one facelifted model this year. Furthermore, it aims to expand brand experience among customers in their 20s and create various touchpoints.
