'YouTuber Assault' 50s Man Fleeing to Australia Issued Interpol Red Notice
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] A man in his 50s, Mr. A, who attacked a famous cryptocurrency-related YouTuber with a weapon and fled to Australia, has been issued a red notice.
According to the National Police Agency on the 16th, Interpol issued a red notice for Mr. A on the same day. A red notice is an international alert issued for suspects of serious crimes who have arrest warrants.
A police official stated, "After obtaining an arrest warrant for Mr. A from a domestic court, we requested cooperative investigation from Interpol," adding, "If Mr. A is apprehended, we will discuss extradition issues with the Australian government."
Mr. A is suspected of attacking a famous YouTuber who broadcasts cryptocurrency-related investment information with a weapon inside an apartment elevator in Seongdong-gu on the 9th of this month.
The YouTuber was transported to a nearby hospital but is reported to be in stable condition.

Mr. A fled to Australia via Hong Kong on the day of the crime. A man in his 40s who committed the crime together with Mr. A has been arrested.
