Make Family Memories by Watching the Moon in the Night Sky Together on Jeongwol Daeboreum Eve
Seodaemun-gu Hosts 'Watching the Moon with Dad for Jeongwol Daeboreum'... Activities Include Nut Cracking, Astronomy Lectures, Stargazing, and Astronomy Quiz OX Game
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] A unique program where families can observe celestial bodies in the night sky together and attend astronomy lectures will be held to welcome the New Year.
Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) will hold the "Moon Viewing with Dad" event on February 7th, the day before Jeongwol Daeboreum, from 7:30 PM to 10 PM at the Seodaemun Natural History Museum's audiovisual room and outdoor yard.
The event will include astronomy lectures, astronomy craft experiences, cracking nuts (bureomkkaegi), observing the night sky with telescopes, screen tours of the moon, planets, and constellations, and an OX quiz game to select the astronomy quiz champion. The quiz champion will receive a one-year free admission pass to the museum.
Families can participate even without dads. The participation fee is 30,000 KRW for two people, with an additional 10,000 KRW for each extra person.
The number of participants is limited to 45, including elementary school students and their parents, and applications can be made on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 AM on the 29th through the Seodaemun Natural History Museum website.

Moon Seok-jin, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, said, "This program will be a time to gain knowledge about celestial bodies, foster scientific imagination, and create good memories among families."
At the Seodaemun Natural History Museum's special exhibition hall, the "Color, All of the World" exhibition, featuring rooms with eight different colors displaying organisms and minerals of those colors, is open until March 1st and is very popular as a learning place for children and teenagers during the school break.
