Jeju Air Presents Second Collaboration with Kim Poong: 'Poong's JJ Sandwich'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Jeju Air has newly launched the ‘Pung’s JJ Sandwich’ as a pre-order in-flight meal menu for international flights departing from Incheon, Gimpo, Daegu, and Muan starting from the 15th.
Pung’s JJ Sandwich is the second menu introduced after webtoon artist and cooking show personality Kim Pung decided to develop an in-flight meal menu with Jeju Air. The sandwich features ciabatta bread filled with meat, vegetables, and a refreshing yuzu mayo sauce, reflecting Kim Pung’s unique sensibility. A disposable apron is also provided to prevent customers’ clothes from getting stained.
The price of Pung’s JJ Sandwich is 10,000 KRW. To commemorate the launch, the first 100 customers who order the sandwich will receive a CU gifticon worth 5,000 KRW and Kim Pung character stickers. Customers who bring the sticker to ‘Oppa Cafe’ in Sangsu-dong, operated by Kim Pung, will receive one free Americano.
Jeju Air is also holding a quiz event through its Facebook account, giving away Airport Block Town toys (10 winners) and airplane backpacks (10 winners).
Pung’s JJ Sandwich is available as a pre-order in-flight meal on international routes except for some short-haul international flights under about one hour such as Fukuoka and Qingdao, as well as routes from China to Korea and Guam and Saipan. Orders can be placed on the Jeju Air website up to three days before the flight date.
