This is because the most important factor in revitalizing the local economy is to attract as many solid companies as possible to the region, such as the Daeyang Industrial Complex, to create jobs.
As of now, Daeyang Industrial Complex has sold 750,000㎡ out of 1,068,000㎡, showing a sales rate of 70.56%, with unsold plots consisting of 25 industrial land plots and 18 support land plots.
Despite difficult conditions last year, the city gained confidence by surpassing a 70% sales rate at Daeyang Industrial Complex, and based on the designation as a National Energy Industry Convergence Complex and the full-scale development of the Fisheries Food Export Complex, it has set a goal to reach 85% sales this year.
Energy-specialized companies located within the National Energy Industry Convergence Complex district receive benefits such as priority purchasing from public institutions like KEPCO, expanded subsidy support rates, local tax reductions, and research and development funding support. Therefore, the city plans to intensively attract energy companies as well as related equipment and parts manufacturers to Daeyang Industrial Complex.
Along with this, as the Fisheries Food Export Complex is being steadily promoted as a national project, Daeyang Industrial Complex is emerging as an optimal investment location, and comprehensive corporate attraction activities targeting fisheries food-related companies will be carried out.
