KOSPI Slightly Declines Amid Foreign and Institutional Selling... Fluctuates Around 2230 Level
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] The KOSPI, which rose to last year's peak level at 2250.79 during the previous trading session, showed a slight decline and weakness on the 15th.
As of 10:18 AM on the day, the KOSPI recorded 2230.76, down 0.36% from the previous trading day. Foreigners and institutions sold 29.1 billion KRW and 120.1 billion KRW worth of stocks respectively, while individuals net bought 145.8 billion KRW.
Most of the top market capitalization stocks are in a downtrend. The semiconductor top two, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, which have been driving the index, traded at 59,300 KRW and 98,600 KRW, down 1.17% and 1.89% respectively from the previous trading day.
Other stocks such as NAVER (-0.52%), Samsung Biologics (-0.80%), Hyundai Motor (-0.43%), and LG Chem (-1.05%) declined, while Hyundai Mobis (0.41%) and LG Household & Health Care (0.43%) rose.
The KOSDAQ index recorded 679.80, up 0.16% from the previous trading day. Individuals supported the index by buying 54.4 billion KRW worth of stocks, while foreigners and institutions net sold 1.3 billion KRW and 45.0 billion KRW respectively.

Among the top market capitalization stocks, Celltrion Healthcare (-0.76%), HL Biopharma (-0.45%), CJ ENM (-0.75%), and Pearl Abyss (-0.70%) declined, while Studio Dragon (1.28%) and KMH (0.53%) rose.
