Jeonbuk Province Residents to Receive Safety Insurance Benefits Starting This Year
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] On the 13th, it was announced that all residents of Jeonbuk Province will receive safety insurance benefits from various disasters and accidents starting in January.
The Residents' Safety Insurance is a system that provides insurance payments for daily life safety when all residents registered in the province (including registered foreigners) suffer damage from unexpected various disasters and accidents during daily life.
With the completion of safety insurance enrollment in all cities and counties, all residents will be automatically enrolled without separate procedures and can enjoy insurance benefits from various disasters and accidents.
Since it is possible to have overlapping coverage with individual personal accident insurance, insurance claims can also be made concurrently.
The Residents' Safety Insurance includes 9 basic coverage items, with a maximum coverage amount capped at 10 million KRW. Cities and counties have autonomously determined insurance items and compensation limits according to local conditions and have completed contracts with insurance companies.
Residents who have suffered damage can claim insurance payments at the disaster safety departments of each city and county or directly with the insurance company. A dedicated insurance payment window is operated for residents' convenience.
