Kia Motors to Halt Production from 13th to 17th Due to Partial Strike over Wage Negotiations
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Kia Motors announced on the 13th that due to partial strikes related to the 2019 wage and collective bargaining agreement, all models at all domestic Kia Motors business sites will experience partial production disruptions.
The production suspension dates are January 13, 2020 (4 hours each for 1st and 2nd shifts), January 14, 2020 (4 hours each for 1st and 2nd shifts), January 15, 2020 (4 hours each for 1st and 2nd shifts), January 16, 2020 (6 hours each for 1st and 2nd shifts), and January 17, 2020 (6 hours each for 1st and 2nd shifts).
