Kim Hyuk-jong, President of Gwangju University, Encourages ROTC Cadets in Basic Military Training
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Kim Hyuk-jong, president of Gwangju University, recently visited the Army Cadet Military School in Goesan, Chungbuk, to encourage the school's Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) cadets undergoing basic military training.
According to Gwangju University on the 12th, President Kim and Kim Chan-hwan, head of the Department of Defense Technology, encouraged Park Dong-chul, commander of the ROTC unit, and the cadets who are dedicated to basic military training. They emphasized the importance of fundamental qualities through professional knowledge and character education required of elite officers and had a time of mutual communication.
Thirty-six ROTC cadets from Gwangju University have been receiving basic military education and training on personal firearms and other military skills from December 30 last year to the 22nd.

President Kim said, "This basic military training will be an opportunity to grow one step further," adding, "Even though the training period is cold and tough, I hope you do your best and become proud army officers representing Gwangju University."
