A video capturing the circumstances of the customer's disruptive behavior has spread through online communities. In the video, customer A is seen throwing food and verbally abusing a department store security guard.
The Namdaemun Police Station in Seoul announced on the 12th that they plan to book A on charges of assault for causing a disturbance at a fast food restaurant in Myeongdong, Jung-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 10th.
The police reportedly received the report of the incident around 8 p.m. on the day it occurred. They plan to analyze the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage capturing the incident to ascertain the exact facts.
At the time, security guard B stated that he "did not want to press charges," so the police issued a warning to A. However, after B changed his stance to wanting to press charges, the investigation was initiated.
Regarding this, a police official explained, "We first responded at the police box between 1 and 2 p.m. on the day of the incident," adding, "Later that evening, the case was officially reported to the police station."
