The donated growth hormone medication, "Grotropin II Injection Cartridge," is intended for low-income children with short stature, and about 80 selected children will receive support for one year. Pediatric short stature is a condition where height growth is insufficient due to growth hormone deficiency, chromosomal abnormalities, family history, etc. It is defined as growing less than 4 cm per year, being more than 10 cm shorter than the standard height for the same age group, or being in the lowest 3%. Dong-A ST's growth hormone medication is easy to administer and can be self-injected. The company has been donating growth hormone medication annually since 2013. So far, over 400 children have received products worth about 2.5 billion KRW. The donation ceremony held at the headquarters was attended by Dong-A ST Chairman Eom Dae-sik, Hanmaeum Social Welfare Foundation Chairman Noh Hwi-sik, Korean Pediatric Endocrinology Society President Hwang Jin-soon, and families receiving the donation.
