10% Discounted 'Seongdong Sarang Gift Certificate' Issued
From the 15th, 3 Billion Won Scale 'Seongdong Love Gift Certificate' Issued, 10% Discount Purchase Available... Purchasable via ZeroPay Mobile App, Usable at Small Business-Operated ZeroPay Affiliate Stores
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) will issue 'Seongdong Love Gift Certificates' worth 3 billion KRW from the 15th to promote local consumption.
The 'Seongdong Love Gift Certificates' are regional mobile gift certificates that can only be used at Zero Pay affiliated stores within Seongdong-gu. They were prepared to promote local consumption and revitalize the local economy by increasing sales of small business owners.
To prevent illegal distribution and reduce operating costs, the certificates are issued in mobile form. There are four denominations: 5,000 KRW, 10,000 KRW, 50,000 KRW, and 100,000 KRW. As a launch promotion, they can be purchased at a 10% discount, with a maximum monthly purchase limit of 500,000 KRW per person.
After downloading the Zero Pay mobile application (such as Kukon Check Pay, Moneytree, Bizplay, Nonghyup All One Bank, etc.) on a smartphone, users can authenticate and link a payment account to purchase and use the gift certificates.
The gift certificates can be used at 5,487 Zero Pay affiliated stores in the region. Some academies are included among the affiliated stores, which is expected to be popular among parents. Considering the purpose of introducing the gift certificates to increase sales of local small businesses, usage is restricted at some large affiliated stores such as large marts and department stores, as well as businesses related to entertainment, luxury, and gambling that significantly violate public morals.
Unused gift certificates can be fully refunded if a refund request is made within 7 days of purchase, and if more than 60% of the face value of the gift certificate has been used, the remaining balance can be refunded.
