According to Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do on the 8th, the firstborn child of father Lee Dong-seon and mother Choi Yoo-ra was born healthy, weighing 3.77 kg.
The couple, after 10 months of excitement and anticipation, faced their lovely daughter and shared the joy of her birth, saying, “We are so happy that our child, the most precious and valuable gift of our lives, was born. We hope she grows up healthy, bright, and full of love.”
Kim Jun-seong, Mayor of Yeonggwang-gun, and Kang Pil-gu, Chairman of the Yeonggwang County Council, visited on the 7th to congratulate the birth and said, “We sincerely congratulate the birth of the first baby of the new year and will do our best to make Yeonggwang-gun a happy place where children can be born and raised so that she can grow up as a proud child of Yeonggwang-gun.”
Additionally, Yeonggwang-gun supports a childbirth-friendly environment through marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, child-rearing, and youth support by providing marriage incentives of 5 million won, newborn care expenses of 5 million won for the first child, 12 million won for the second child, 30 million won for the third to fifth children, and 35 million won for the sixth child and beyond.
This year, support for the third child and beyond has been significantly increased compared to the previous year.
Furthermore, various support policies are actively being promoted, including childbirth congratulatory goods worth 300,000 won, additional support for infertility treatment costs, 300,000 won transportation card support for pregnant women, prenatal ultrasound examination fee support for pregnant women, the nation’s first youth development fund of 10 billion won, and operation of a toy library.
