Fire in Clothing Store Warehouse... Over 50 Evacuated
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Yoseop] At around 10:39 a.m. on the 8th, a fire broke out in the warehouse of a two-story clothing store inside Gupo Market in Buk-gu, Busan, and was extinguished after about 40 minutes.
According to the police, there were no casualties from the fire, which burned the inside of the warehouse and was put out by the dispatched 119 firefighters in about 40 minutes.
At the time of the fire, about 50 merchants and customers in Gupo Market evacuated, causing a commotion.
A Busan Fire Department official stated, “Since it was market day, there were many people in the market from the morning, but fortunately, toxic gases and black smoke did not spread inside the market, so no casualties occurred.”
