900 Boxes of Soju Bottles Shatter... Cargo Truck Accident on Rainy Highway
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] Around 12:08 PM on the 7th, an 8.5-ton cargo truck slipped on the rainy road and collided with the median barrier in the first lane near the Seopyeongtaek Junction on the Pyeongtaek-Jecheon Expressway heading toward Pyeongtaek.
The cargo truck driver, Mr. A, is reported to have not been seriously injured.
However, approximately 900 boxes of soju bottles (estimated 27,000 bottles) carried in the vehicle spilled across lanes 1 to 3 in both directions. As a result, severe congestion occurred for about 30 minutes over a 2 km section of the area.
