Daejeon City Implements 'Happiness Voucher' Support Program for Women Farmers
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City is implementing the ‘Happiness Voucher’ support project for local women farmers.
According to the city on the 6th, this project is introduced and implemented from this year with the purpose of providing women farmers, who juggle heavy farm work and household chores, opportunities for leisure activities and expanding their cultural experiences.
The eligibility requirements are women farmers aged 19 to under 75 residing in Daejeon, who possess an Agricultural Management Entity Registration Confirmation issued by the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service and attach an income amount certificate for themselves and the head of household issued by the National Tax Service. Applications must be submitted to the local administrative welfare center by the 14th of next month.
However, women farmers who are not registered as an agricultural management entity, whose comprehensive income outside of agriculture is 37 million KRW or more as of the application date, or who are receiving similar welfare services such as the Munhwa Nuri Card are excluded from support.
If selected as a beneficiary, after depositing a self-payment of 20,000 KRW at a designated NH Nonghyup Bank branch, they will receive a card that can be used until the end of the year at 28 types of businesses in the Daejeon area, including beauty salons, cosmetics stores, and sporting goods stores.
