The newly appointed Secretary General Hyun was born in 1970 in Incheon and has served in the Central Party's Public Relations Media Bureau, Policy Committee, and National Assembly Policy Research Committee, most recently serving as Deputy Director of the Euljiro Committee Eulji Support Bureau. The former Secretary General Kim Taeseon registered as a preliminary candidate on the 17th of last month to run in the 21st general election.
