View original imageThe Saemangeum Development Authority, together with external experts, will conduct on-site inspections of tenant companies occupying rental land within the industrial complex for three days from April 21 to April 23. The inspections target long-term rental land operated as national property.
Long-term rental land is a public asset jointly created by the central government and local governments to reduce the initial investment burden on companies and to help them establish stable operations. The current inspection is focused on verifying whether the land is being used as intended, in line with its original purpose.
The inspection items include unauthorized use, subleasing without permission, and any damage to the land. The main concerns are cases where the land or factories are used for purposes other than those approved, instances of subletting to third parties without the consent of the managing authority, and cases of land damage or illegal dumping of waste.
Minor violations will be corrected on site immediately, with guidance provided as needed on the proper standards of use. On the other hand, if serious violations are identified, strong measures such as orders for correction, permit revocation, administrative dispositions, and referrals for investigation will follow.
