Later the same day, he held his official campaign launch ceremony at the planned site for the KTX Southern Gyeonggi Station in Haechang-ri, Godeok-myeon, Pyeongtaek-si, appealing for support by stating, "For the development of the Republic of Korea and the leap forward of Pyeongtaek, please choose a person with determination and driving force, not just a political party."

I will enhance Pyeongtaek's future value and achieve transportation innovation through the KTX Southern Gyeonggi Station and the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center."
He continued, "I have spent my life fighting against military dictatorship and prosecutorial dictatorship. For more than 20 years, I have built bridges within the progressive democratic bloc, promoting solidarity and unity, and I have experience in state administration. I can serve as a bridge to break down the walls of division, distrust, and misunderstanding in the Republic of Korea."
He added, "Pyeongtaek is blocked by barriers in transportation and development," and pledged, "I will break down these walls and build interconnected bridges linking Pyeongtaek inside and out."
He presented his key pledges as attracting the KTX Southern Gyeonggi Station and the Asia-Pacific AI Center, improving public transportation infrastructure, and raising the standards of childcare, caregiving, and education.
