On this day, candidate Jung will focus on the so-called 'Hangang Belt.' Starting in Seongdong—his political home—he plans to target the traditionally conservative Gangnam area. At the campaign kick-off ceremony held at 10:30 a.m. in the plaza of Wangsimni Station, Seongdong District, election committee members such as Lee In-young, Seo Young-gyo, and Jeon Hyun-hee, along with the heads of 48 regional committees in Seoul and most of the 25 district office candidates, were present.
In the afternoon, he will campaign in the Jayangsan Street area of Gwangjin District, around Express Bus Terminal Station in Seocho District, and Gangnam Square in Gangnam District. An additional visit to the construction site of Samseong Station on the GTX (Great Train eXpress) Line A has also been scheduled. Candidate Jung will personally inspect the cracks on the fifth basement level.
On the same day, candidate Oh stated at the Garak-dong Wholesale Market for agricultural and fishery products in Songpa District, Seoul, "This is the site of real life, and also a place that gives meaning to the lives of Seoul citizens," adding, "I will run alongside those who drive Seoul's economy to open a brighter future for the city." Starting in Gangbuk, candidate Oh will sweep through all of Seoul—including Seodaemun, Yeongdeungpo, Guro, Seongbuk, Dongdaemun, Jongno, and Gangnam—in a 'whirlwind' pattern. Former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, categorized as a 'reformist conservative,' accompanied him on the campaign.
