The two institutions will cooperate in the following areas: fostering talent in the field of convergence security, establishing and operating industry-academia linked educational programs, conducting joint research and technological exchanges in convergence security, and building collaborative networks.
In particular, the two sides will focus on discussing the direction for establishing industry-academia linked educational programs to nurture core AI convergence security talent within the KT Group. The aim of these programs is to go beyond basic security technology education and address competencies required for next-generation security environments, such as AI, cloud, zero trust, and communications and network security. In addition, the programs will also be developed to include competencies required for security leaders, such as policy and regulation, personal data protection, and security governance.
Yoo Hongrim, President of Seoul National University, stated, "With the spread of AI technology, security is becoming even more important as a core foundation for maintaining trust across industry and society. Through cooperation with KT, we will strengthen education and research in the field of convergence security and strive to nurture talent who can contribute to enhancing national security competitiveness."
