U.S. President Donald Trump expressed disappointment on the 18th (local time) regarding Iran's latest ceasefire proposal and stated that he is "not open" to any concessions to Iran.
President Trump, in a phone interview with the New York Post on this day, said, "Iran knows what's about to happen soon," making his stance clear.
When asked about his previous comment on the 15th that he could accept a plan for Iran to halt uranium enrichment for 20 years, President Trump interrupted the question, saying, "At this time, I am not open to accepting anything."
President Trump avoided commenting on specific details. He said, "I can't tell you (the reporter) about this. Too much is happening."
President Trump added, "I can say that they want an agreement more than ever, because they know what we are about to do."
