Mercedes-Benz Korea is aiming to secure a leading position in the imported large sedan market by unveiling the facelifted models of the brand's flagship sedan, the S-Class, and its top-tier premium lineup, the Maybach S-Class.
Mercedes-Benz Korea announced that pre-orders for the new S-Class and Maybach S-Class will begin on the 18th. Both models are scheduled for official release in Korea in the third quarter of this year.
This facelifted model features over 2,700 components—accounting for more than 50% of the vehicle's makeup—that have been newly developed or redesigned. The entire lineup comes equipped with Mercedes-Benz’s proprietary operating system, MB.OS, providing an intuitive digital experience. Powertrains and driving assistance technologies have also been upgraded to enhance driving stability.
The new S-Class is available in a total of six variants, including the S 350 d 4MATIC and S 500 4MATIC Long, with prices ranging from 154 million won to 270 million won. For the first time, illuminated grilles and digital light twin star headlamps have been introduced, enhancing its presence. Inside, the MBUX Superscreen and heated safety belts—capable of providing warmth up to 44°C—are standard across all variants.
The S 580 4MATIC Long model is equipped with E-Active Body Control, which analyzes driving conditions 1,000 times per second to adjust the suspension. Rear-axle steering, which assists agile maneuvering, allows for steering angles of up to 4.5 to 10 degrees depending on the model.
The top-of-the-line New Maybach S-Class is available in three variants, including the Maybach S 580 and Maybach S 680, with prices ranging from 317 million won to 407 million won. The exterior features a radiator grille approximately 20% larger than before, as well as rose gold color headlamp accents.
An exclusive package has been applied to all models, covering most of the interior with Nappa leather. Features include electrically operated rear comfort doors and executive seats. The Maybach S 580 Manufaktur further distinguishes itself with unique floor mats and leather seats, among other details.
To commemorate this launch, Mercedes-Benz Korea will offer two limited launch editions: 140 units each of the 'AMG Line Plus Edition,' based on the S 450 4MATIC Long AMG Line, and the 'Sparkling Black Edition,' based on the S 500 4MATIC Long. In addition, a special promotion is available for existing S-Class customers who repurchase, offering cash discounts and extended warranty benefits.
