World Class Company Association Successfully Concludes '2026 CEO Workshop'
The World Class Company Association has provided a venue for discussions on future strategies to respond to the restructuring of global supply chains and changes in industrial paradigms.
The World Class Company Association announced that it successfully concluded the '2026 World Class Company Association CEO Workshop,' which was held for two days starting May 15 at Lotte Resort Buyeo in Buyeo, Chungnam Province.
Approximately 70 participants attended the event, including CEOs and executives of member companies, as well as representatives from related organizations. The event featured a variety of lectures focusing on companies' response strategies and directions for future growth amid changes in the global economic environment and the transformation of the manufacturing industry paradigm.
Choi Joong-Kyung, President of the Korea-America Association, delivered a lecture on the "Strategic Implications of U.S.-China Hegemonic Competition Through the Lens of War History." He analyzed the impact of changes in the international order and strategic competition between the U.S. and China on domestic industries and corporate management, and presented strategic response directions that Korean companies should adopt.
Next, Kim Yong-Sik, Commissioner of the Seoul Main Customs at the Korea Customs Service, introduced major customs policy directions and ways to utilize preemptive response systems to prevent customs risks in his lecture titled "Customs Administration Issues for CEOs to Consider."
Discussions on the space industry and the defense sector also followed. Noh Kyung-won, Deputy Administrator of the Korea Aerospace Administration (KASA), explained the changes in the space industry and the roles and opportunities for companies in the era of New Space under the theme "Leaders of the Age of Great Space Exploration." In addition, Jwa Dong-wook introduced the upcoming "Global Defense Supply Chain Forum," scheduled for July, and shared insights on new growth potential and future business opportunities in the defense industry.
There was also a lecture on leadership in response to changes in the global business environment. Yang Geun-seok, Korea Representative of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), discussed the importance of a CEO's personal brand and non-verbal communication skills required on the global stage under the theme "International Business Negotiation and Etiquette," and exchanged opinions with the participants.
Chairman Lee Seong-ho stated, "Uncertainties in corporate management are growing due to the restructuring of global supply chains, geopolitical conflicts, changes in exchange rates, and shifts in the trade environment. We plan to continuously pursue a variety of programs to strengthen the global competitiveness of member companies and establish a foundation for sustainable growth."
