Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival Kicks Off... Runs Until the 23rd
232 Varieties, 320,000 Bushes, and a 5.45 km Rose Tunnel
The 18th Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival kicked off on May 15 along the Jungnangcheon Stream, marking the start of its full program. The festival will continue until May 23. True to its reputation as one of Seoul's representative spring events, on the very first day, the 5.45-kilometer-long rose tunnel and 320,000 rose bushes of 232 different varieties lining Jungnangcheon attracted a steady stream of visitors.
The main event, the "Grand Rose Festival," is being held from May 15 to 17 for three days in the area around Junghwa Sports Park. The program includes performances, exhibitions, and hands-on experience activities.

On the opening day, May 15, a series of events took place around Junghwa Sports Park, including the Jungnang-gu Residents' Walking Event for Interfaith Harmony, the rose parade, the proclamation ceremony for Jungnang Rose Week, and performances by district-run art troupes. In the evening, singers Bae Ahyeon and Lee Sooho took the stage for celebratory performances.
