SK Ecoplant Reports Q1 Operating Profit of 931.4 Billion Won... Surges 1,262% Amid AI Semiconductor Boom
SK ecoplant announced on May 15 that its consolidated operating profit for the first quarter reached 931.4 billion won, marking an increase of approximately 1,262% compared to the same period last year. During the same period, revenue rose by about 90% year-on-year to 4.8997 trillion won.
SK ecoplant explained, "The start of revenue recognition from major projects such as the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster, Cheongju M15X, and the Ulsan Artificial Intelligence (AI) Data Center, as well as profit growth in the semiconductor materials and gas business and the memory semiconductor production and distribution business due to the semiconductor boom, have driven this performance increase."
The company's debt ratio was 176% as of the first quarter, showing a downward trend compared to 233% in 2024 and 192% in 2025.
SK ecoplant has reorganized its business portfolio to encompass the entire AI infrastructure, including the integration of subsidiaries related to semiconductor materials, and covering everything from the construction of semiconductor manufacturing facilities to the supply of relevant materials, industrial gases, and resource circulation management.
