2026 Sungju Melon & Life Culture Festival "Food Market"
Offering Safe and Delicious Food at Reasonable Prices
It has established itself as one of the nation’s leading festivals in May.
Sungju County in North Gyeongsang Province will operate a Delicious and Safe Food Market at the 2026 Sungju Melon & Life Culture Festival site from May 14 to 17, with participation from eight local businesses.
To provide safe and delicious food to visitors at reasonable prices, a wide variety of menu options that can be enjoyed by all ages, as well as signature dishes selected and promoted by each business, will be featured.
Additionally, shading booths will be installed to block direct sunlight from entering the booths, creating a comfortable environment for enjoying food. The market will also offer a view of the Ichon Stream and operate a standing food zone, providing both scenic sights and entertainment for diners.
To ensure food safety in the hot weather, daily hygiene education will be provided throughout the festival, covering sanitary handling of food and compliance requirements for business operators. A food poisoning prevention booth will also be operated, and thorough safety guidance will be in place to maintain a safe and healthy food market.
