This project was launched in earnest following the signing of a business agreement (MOU) in March among four organizations: KEA, EBS, Hana Financial Group, and Korea Youth Counseling & Welfare Institute.
The program's name reflects a new perspective that views out-of-school youth not merely as minors in need of protection, but as confident individuals who pave their own paths in life. It also embodies the intent to include all future generations who are contemplating their career paths.
From the planning stage, KEA and EBS have jointly designed customized content and a business structure that reflects the characteristics and needs of out-of-school youth. Beginning with the "For the Youth" lecture, they plan to establish an integrated media support system within this year, connecting broadcasts, policy forums, documentaries, and online learning platforms.
In September, a policy forum will be held on television and at the National Assembly to create a public forum for improving social perceptions and discussing institutional enhancements for out-of-school youth. In addition, a total of five documentaries will be produced and aired, highlighting the realities faced by out-of-school youth and advanced overseas case studies.
In November, an online platform exclusively for out-of-school youth will be launched via the EBS online channel. Through content and community services on qualification exams, college entrance (CSAT), career planning, and vocational education, an environment will be provided where learning and interaction can continue outside the institutional network of schools.
In addition, the project’s official communication channel on Instagram will be operated. It will offer a variety of content such as program previews, key business news, and event participation guides, serving as a continuous communication window with out-of-school youth.
Lee Sangyoon, Executive Director of Planning and Operations at KEA, stated, “From the second half of the year, KEA plans to significantly expand its support projects for out-of-school youth by leveraging the economic sector’s infrastructure. We will actively connect various resources and infrastructure within the business community to serve as a stepping stone for youth in educational blind spots, ensuring that no one is left behind.”
