The event name carries a double meaning, combining "climbing a mountain" and "Santa Claus," and offers both the joy of hiking and unique experiences.
This event is designed to widely publicize the hidden famous mountains and tourism resources of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and to revitalize mountain tourism within the province. In particular, various on-site events and commemorative programs will be held so that participants can create special memories in nature.
The highlight of the event, the "Find the Santa" program, invites participants to search for Santa sculptures placed along the hiking trails, take photos with them, and then receive various gifts at the operation booth. This hands-on content is designed to enhance the enjoyment on-site for both families and Millennials & Gen Z participants.
The event venue, Soyisan Observatory, is a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful panoramic views of the Cheorwon plains, and it has recently attracted significant attention from both tourists and hikers. In 2026, it was selected for the first time as one of the "Gangwon 20s Famous Mountains," marking it as a new hiking hotspot.
