LG Electronics LED Signage Illuminates New Terminal at Frankfurt Airport
Supplying 115m² LED Signage to Germany's Busiest European Transport Hub
LG Electronics is supplying large light-emitting diode (LED) signage to the new terminal at Frankfurt Airport, one of Europe's major aviation hubs. By securing contracts for commercial displays at major global airports, the company is demonstrating its differentiated product competitiveness.
On May 14, LG Electronics announced that it supplied commercial display products, including large LED signage, to Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport, which opened at the end of last month. The large LED signage, measuring a total of 115 square meters, greets travelers at the 'Marketplace' located at the center of Terminal 3.

The LED signage supplied by LG Electronics features components typically used in locations where safety is paramount, such as factories, and is designed to slow the spread of fire in the event of an incident. This ensures a high level of safety without the need for additional construction work.
The signage also offers a wide viewing angle, allowing travelers to clearly see various information from multiple perspectives. With its high visibility and outstanding image quality, it supports a wide range of content, including advertisements and videos introducing the local culture.
Another strength of LG Electronics' commercial displays is their ability to operate stably based on superior quality. LG Electronics is continuously enhancing the durability of its commercial displays through ongoing research and development, and provides prompt maintenance services to ensure that airport users do not face inconvenience.
Leveraging these capabilities in product quality and operations, LG Electronics has secured and supplied commercial display contracts to major airports not only in Europe—including Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Hungary—but also in Korea, the United States, Argentina, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
LG Electronics is expanding its commercial display lineup with ultra-high-definition signage such as 'LG Magnit,' while also strengthening the security capabilities of its signage products. Last year, LG Electronics applied its proprietary security system, 'LG Shield,' to its standard signage models (UH5Q/UH7Q). LG Shield is an integrated security system that embodies LG Electronics' security expertise.
