Strengthening Capabilities for the AI Era
The Korea Copyright Commission and the Arts Council Korea will provide customized copyright education for 3,000 young creators nationwide starting from May 14.
This initiative targets those selected for the government's "K-Art Young Creator Support Project." The program aims to equip participants with essential copyright knowledge for creative activities and help them respond to issues that may arise when using generative artificial intelligence (AI).
The curriculum covers basic concepts, important considerations when using AI, infringement cases, and practical aspects of contracts. Both remote and in-person sessions will be offered.
The Arts Council Korea will inform cultural foundations nationwide about the project, while the Korea Copyright Commission will collaborate with 17 regional cultural foundations to run the program.

Chairman Kang Seokwon stated, "As AI becomes more widespread, strengthening copyright capabilities has become even more important," adding, "We will expand tailored support."
