Labor and Management Vow to Join Forces for Management Normalization
Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced on May 13 that it held the '2026 Wage and Collective Bargaining Agreement Signing Ceremony and Labor-Management Win-Win Agreement Declaration' with the Korea Aerospace Industries Labor Union, during which both parties resolved to achieve this year's management goals and strengthen cooperation.

View original imageThe event, held at the company's headquarters in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province, was attended by around 30 labor and management officials, including Kim Jongchul, President of KAI, and Kim Seunggu, Chairman of the labor union.
KAI stated that, since President Kim took office, labor-management negotiations have been conducted under a policy of communication and field-oriented management. President Kim personally served as the chief negotiator for the collective bargaining agreement, leading to an early conclusion of the negotiations. The labor union also expressed its commitment to cooperation, agreeing with the company's direction toward management normalization and improvements in organizational culture.
With this agreement as a turning point, KAI plans to resolve labor-management conflicts and focus on management normalization and enhancing global competitiveness. The company intends to build a sound corporate culture and expand the sharing of management achievements, while the labor union pledged to cooperate on the timely delivery and improved production efficiency and quality competitiveness of key models such as the KF-21 and Surion (Mi-ron).
Labor and management have also agreed to join forces in fostering mutual growth with partner companies and establishing a stable industrial ecosystem to address global supply chain uncertainties and strengthen competitiveness in the aerospace industry.
President Kim Jongchul stated, "Labor and management have laid the foundation for mutual growth by reaching an early conclusion to the collective bargaining agreement through concessions and compromise. We will further strengthen the One Team KAI system to enhance our global competitiveness."
