Gwangju Office of Education to Accept Citizen Ideas for Gwangju Education Policy
Open to All Participants Until May 22
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education is seeking to discover creative ideas from citizens and incorporate them into its policies for the betterment of education in Gwangju. On May 13, the Office announced that it will be running the '2026 First Half Gwangju Education Proposal Intensive Application Period' until May 22.
This contest is being held to discover creative ideas for Gwangju education, reflect them in policy, and improve administrative systems.
Anyone interested in Gwangju education, including citizens and public officials, is eligible to participate.
Proposals can be submitted through the 'Gukmin Sinmungo', the national participation portal website. The final results will be announced on the city Office of Education's website in June, and outstanding ideas will be awarded certificates of recognition from the Superintendent and prize money according to their rating.

Ko Inja, Director of Policy, stated, "We will actively operate the National Proposal System to ensure that the diverse ideas of citizens, parents, and public officials are reflected in policy," adding, "Based on participation and communication, we aim to realize 'Gwangju Education for All,' created together by the Gwangju education community."
