Amazon is expanding its ultra-fast delivery service, which allows customers in dozens of U.S. cities to receive products within approximately 30 minutes after placing an order.
On May 12 (local time), Amazon announced that it will expand its 30-minute delivery service, 'Amazon Now,' to dozens of cities across the United States. This service delivers fresh groceries, daily necessities, and products with high regional demand to customers’ doorsteps within about 30 minutes after ordering.
The service is already widely available in Atlanta, Dallas-Fort Worth, Philadelphia, and Seattle, and is rapidly expanding to cities such as Austin, Houston, Minneapolis, Orlando, Phoenix, Denver, and Oklahoma City. Amazon plans to make this service accessible to tens of millions of people in the United States by the end of this year.
Eligible items include groceries, household products such as detergent and toothpaste, health, baby, and pet supplies, as well as electronics. In regions where alcohol delivery is permitted, alcoholic beverages are also included.
Udit Madan, Senior Vice President of Amazon Worldwide Operations, explained, "From groceries for dinner to AirPods needed before boarding a flight, and daily essentials like detergent and toothpaste, customers can receive thousands of items through ultra-fast delivery."
