Candidate Jin cited several achievements from the past two years and six months since the by-election, including: confirming the possibility of early implementation of height restriction easing at Gimpo Airport through a visit to the ICAO headquarters in Canada; passing the preliminary feasibility study for the relocation of the Banghwa vehicle depot and construction waste disposal site; securing momentum for the groundbreaking of the Daejang-Hongdae Line and the renewed promotion of the Gangbuk Transit Line; co-hosting the first "Korea Business Expo" among local governments; and designating the area near National Assembly Avenue as a planned district for a public housing complex project.
He presented three major future visions for a "Greater Gangseo": building an innovative economic city where artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced industrial technologies converge; completing a balanced growth city where Magok and the old downtown area coexist and thrive together; and realizing a safe and reliable welfare city that supports residents from cradle to grave.
Candidate Jin stated, "I will dedicate all my administrative experience leading a 140,000-strong organization as Deputy Commissioner of the National Police Agency, as well as my proven drive for execution, to the development of Gangseo," adding, "There is no time to waste on trial and error."
Party leader Jeong Cheongrae said, "This is a golden opportunity to ensure the success of a government based on the sovereignty of the people and to further advance regional development," adding, "This local election is about restoring the nation and establishing a local government that truly gets things done."
In his congratulatory address, Floor Leader Han Byungdo said, "When Candidate Jin Gyohoon ran in the by-election, I was impressed by the sense that he is the very talent Gangseo needs." Representative Han Jeongae commented, "Even in a short period, Jin Gyohoon has led a district administration that makes residents feel safe." Lawmaker Jin Seongjun called on Jin to make Gangseo a hub for future urban air mobility and advanced industries.
