1,176 Pass First Qualification Exam of the Year in Gyeongnam ... Average Pass Rate 85.21%
In the first qualification exam for elementary, middle, and high school graduates for the 2026 academic year, held on April 4, a total of 1,176 out of 1,380 examinees in Gyeongnam passed.
On May 8, the Gyeongnam Office of Education announced the list of successful candidates on its website and stated that the average pass rate was tallied at 85.21%.
By school level, the pass rate for the elementary school exam was 87.00%, with 87 out of 100 examinees passing; for the middle school exam, 203 out of 234 examinees passed, resulting in a rate of 86.75%; and for the high school exam, 886 out of 1,046 examinees passed, marking a rate of 84.70%.
This year, the oldest successful candidates were a 73-year-old woman surnamed Kang for the elementary school exam, a 72-year-old woman surnamed Yoon for the middle school exam, and a 72-year-old woman surnamed Kang for the high school exam.
Additionally, 14 inmates from correctional facilities in the Gyeongnam region and 7 individuals with disabilities were also included in the list of successful candidates.
From May 8 to 14, examinees can check their scores on the provincial Office of Education website.
Certificates of passing and related documents can be issued from May 8, the day of the announcement, at the civil service desks of schools and administrative agencies nationwide, as well as through the 'Government24' website.
