The signing ceremony, held at Sejong in Jongno-gu, Seoul, was attended by Min Ilyoung, Chairman of Nanum & Eum, and Oh Jun, President of Hanahyeop. Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate in various areas, including: expert legal counsel for child rights advocacy activities; participation in task forces for major projects such as the National Children’s Assembly and legal mentoring for children; promotional activities to improve awareness of child rights with a focus on participation; and sharing infrastructure and networks.
With this agreement, member organizations of Hanahyeop are expected to receive professional legal advice and support regarding various legal difficulties they may face in child rights advocacy and child welfare work.
Chairman Min stated, "I am pleased to join forces with Hanahyeop, which has been working to promote children's rights," and added, "We will actively support so that the expertise of our law firm can empower children's voices and serve as a catalyst for social change."
President Oh commented, "This agreement is a meaningful step that adds the wings of legal expertise to the voices of children," adding, "Together with Nanum & Eum, our top-level legal partner, we will take the lead in creating an environment where our children can confidently realize their rights."
