"Beyond Visual Boundaries"... BNK Busan Bank Gallery Hosts Relay Exhibitions
From Youth-Participatory Exhibitions to Mid-Career Artist Showcases
BNK Busan Bank is unveiling a series of local art exhibitions. The concept focuses on transcending visual boundaries.
On May 7, BNK Busan Bank (President Kim Sungjoo) announced that it will host a variety of exhibitions that break free from formal and conceptual constraints at its 'BNK Busan Bank Gallery' in Sinchang-dong.
First, the exhibition 'Sharing the Dream of Art' will be held until May 14. Fifteen artists are participating, presenting visual artworks that explore emotions and narratives latent in modern life. The exhibition aims not only at simple appreciation but also at providing viewers with an opportunity for self-reflection.
Following this, from May 16 to 17, a two-day exhibition titled 'The Cultural Universe of Youth, Following Strange Signals' will take place. This is an experiential exhibition linked to the Youth Project Lab program. Visitors can leave their concerns or questions, which the artist will then visualize using ceramics and crystals. The exhibition is designed so visitors can witness the process of young people's thoughts being transformed into actual artworks on-site.
From May 26 to June 5, the exhibition 'Different Stories, Same Perspective' will follow. Seven mid-career artists based in Busan will participate. Through works that originate from diverse experiences and viewpoints, the exhibition showcases contemporary trends in painting. It captures the process by which individual narratives, starting from 'difference,' intersect into a single perspective.
The BNK Busan Bank Gallery operates as a cultural space connecting local artists and citizens. Exhibition bookings can be made via the gallery's website.
Busan Bank will also continue cultural programs at its headquarters. From May to October, as part of 'Stage BNK,' the bank, in collaboration with Busan Cultural Center, will hold a relay exhibition under the 'ART BNK Project.'
In partnership with Namgu Senior Club, the bank will operate a 'Senior Docent Tour.' Exhibition guides will be provided at 12:30 p.m. on weekdays to enhance visitor understanding.
