"Coffee is like a lifesaver to me."
Siwoo Kim, currently ranked 20th in the world, always seeks out coffee before and after his rounds. Hwang Yumin drinks baby formula every morning and evening, while during her playing days, Kim Haelim increased her weight by eating a whole tray of boiled eggs. The routines of professional golfers who deliver top shots extend beyond the driving range and onto the dining table. Due to the unique nature of golf, which involves intense tension and significant physical exertion, each player develops their own "consumption formula" to maintain peak performance.
According to the golf industry on May 8, professional golfers use their own food and beverage routines during matches to maintain concentration and stamina. These routines are regarded as important factors that go beyond simple eating habits, connecting to mental management and maintaining a feel for the game.
Siwoo Kim is a well-known coffee enthusiast. He has been drinking coffee since he was 16 and still enjoys it before and after every round. On days without tournaments, he drinks three to four cups a day. He says, "Golf and coffee are both sources of vitality."

His steady performance this season has matched his coffee habit. Siwoo Kim has made the cut in all 12 tournaments he has played this year. He has finished in the top three three times—including one runner-up and two third-place finishes—and has placed in the top ten six times. He currently ranks 8th in season earnings (4,798,605 dollars), 6th in FedEx Cup standings (1,374 points), and 8th in average strokes (70.22).
For Hwang Yumin, who made her debut on the LPGA Tour this year, the choice is baby formula. She started drinking it to maintain her stamina and driving distance, and continues to mix and drink formula every morning and evening in the United States.
Hwang Yumin said, "Baby formula is great for maintaining my weight during the season. If I lose weight, I can increase the amount, but for now, I'm just maintaining." Although she is relatively petite at 163 cm, she ranked 6th in average driver distance on the domestic tour last year at 252.49 yards.

She made the cut in 7 out of 8 tournaments, and finished tied for 5th at the season-opening Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. Her average driving distance has increased by about 15 yards from last year, now at 267.43 yards.
Kim Haelim, who earned the nickname "egg golfer," is also famous for her routine. With seven career wins on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour, she used to eat a whole tray of boiled eggs a day to gain weight and increase her driving distance during her career.
The "golf emperor" Tiger Woods also has his own food routine. During rounds, he often eats a peanut butter sandwich. He has explained that the sandwich is food for recharging his energy.

Golf is a sport where even a small disruption can dramatically affect the outcome. That is why players manage not only their swings, but also what they eat and drink, according to their own rhythms. For some, it is a cup of coffee; for others, a glass of formula or a tray of eggs. Ultimately, the best shots are crafted not only at the practice range but also through the routines of daily life.
